Barry Bonds 71st homerun 2001 ESPN Telecast

I have not seen this version of the record breaking homerun on Youtube. Gary Thorne and Joe Morgan at the call. And Thorne really lights it up like you've never heard before. ESPN was covering a double header with Cardinals-Astros the early game and Giants-Dodgers the late game. Problem was, the Cardinal game ran long and Bonds was batting in the 1st inning while ESPN was still showing Mark McGwire coming to bat. So they cut away to show Bonds 1st at bat before going back, then returning to the Giants game full time after the Cardinal game ended. Not exactly ideal. Maybe that's why it's always the Giants local telecast you end up seeing on Youtube. But this is how most of the country saw the record-breaking shot live. On a joined-in-progress in-and-out job for the one at-bat only.
