Hurricane Ian slams South Carolina after deadly march across Florida
A resurgent Hurricane Ian slammed into the South Carolina coast on Friday afternoon, making another landfall after a deadly march across the Florida peninsula that washed away houses and stranded thousands along the U.S. Gulf Coast. “Every single minute counts,” President Joe Biden said at a Friday press briefing. At separate news conferences, Florida governor Ron DeSantis and representatives from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) also urged local residents to stay updated with local reports.
