Sensationalism and scare tactics on TV news

Joe Crain, a popular local meteorologist as a Sinclair-owned station in Indiana, lost his job after calling out his station for over-the-top weather warnings. David Zurawik says journalism "is supposed to give citizens information they can use" to make smart decisions, and sensationalizing the news gets in the way of that goal.
