Candidates' skeletons haunt Trudeau, Scheer on campaign trail

The federal party leaders might prefer to be talking policy, but they've spent more time than they'd like talking about the old social-media posts of some of their candidates. Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, forced Friday to address the past controversial comments of his own candidates, accused Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau of trying to keep anti-Semitic messages hidden from Canadians. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, meanwhile, promised relief from cellphone and internet bills and took his left-wing philosophies to Bay Street, while Scheer announced plans to resurrect an old Conservative tax credit for transit users and Trudeau offered red tape relief for small businesses.
