35ft humpback whale washes up on New York beach
A beached humpback whale was spotted on Long Island's Lido Beach, New York in the early morning on January 30. Unfortunately, the whale was deceased by the time it was found by officials. Environmental activists believe the death was linked to pre-construction of offshore wind turbines nearby.
