8 bodies recovered from St. Lawrence River

Search crews found two more bodies in the St. Lawrence River, bringing the death toll of a suspected illegal crossing to the U.S. to eight. Authorities in the Mohawk territory of Akwesase acknowledged shock and sadness in the community — and that they have stopped 80 other crossing attempts so far this year alone.
