Supreme Court rules Quebec City mosque shooter eligible for parole in 25 years

In a unanimous ruling, the Supreme Court says the gunman who killed six people at a Quebec City mosque in 2017 must get a chance at parole after serving 25 years in prison, striking down a Criminal Code provision allowing judges to impose consecutive periods of parole ineligibility.
