Thousands of people in all 50 states have reported receiving unsolicited packages of "mystery seeds" in the mail this summer.By early August, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the FBI were investigating these mystery seeds.And authorities also warned everyone not to plant the seeds, but that message seems to have been lost in transmission.VICE conducted an investigation and learned that hundreds of people planted them, and many ate what grew from them.At least 67 people said they planted the seeds, while 30 individuals said that they destroyed them.The USDA has released a long list of effective ways to destroy these mystery seeds if you still have yours in a drawer.Despite a number of agencies investigating, no one is sure why the seed shipments keep coming
