Bird's-eye view of active lava fissure in Hawaii's Puna

The USGS's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said a 17th fissure opened in Pahoa, Hawaii, on May 13, as activity continued in the wake of an earthquake near the Kilauea volcano on May 4. The fissure shot "lava bombs" 500 feet into the air.
