The surreal landscape brought on by early coastal fog in Five Islands is reason enough to wake up early if you're heading out on a bumble.

You'll need the daylight as you make your way down the incline in the backwoods when trekking down to see the trickle at Economy Falls.

Once you reach the trailhead, it's not a long way down into the gorge, but certainly steep at points of the 186-step stairway.

Renowned for its beauty and geology since the days of Darwin, according to, some of the oldest rocks in the province can be found here.

In 1997, one side of the rockface collapsed, sending 2,000 tonnes of rock into the pool in front of the falls,

If you're up for a good hike, it'll be perfect for when the fall covers are popping. The hardest part, climbing your way back.
