January is the time of year where gym floors are dominated by people embarking on new year goals, splurging on memberships, subscriptions, and state of the art equipment in a bid to become the ultimate fitness fanatic. New data shows that over 40% of people admit to having wasted money on gym equipment or subscribing to a gym membership that they use less than they anticipated. Two-thirds (64%) admit to wasting £153.70 a year on both fitness equipment and gym membership – totalling almost £4 billion wasted each year across the entire UK.
