Ant McPartlin has revealed he almost died from his secret addiction to super-strength painkillers as he opened up for the first time since checking into rehab.

The I'm A Celebrity presenter checked himself into rehab back in June after a tearful confession to his wife Lisa Armstrong and TV partner Dec about his dependency on prescription drugs and alcohol.

He revealed how he begged Lisa to call him an ambulance after an "insane" pills binge which saw him rushed to hospital at 5am.
