Chuck Berry Reportedly Died of Natural Causes

The legendary guitarist's personal doctor will reportedly sign off on the cause of death, and no autopsy will be conducted, after Berry died in his Missouri home at age 90 on Saturday.

"St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18)," the police department shared on their Facebook page over the weekend. "Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m."

Berry is survived by his wife, Themetta "Toddy" Suggs, daughters Melody Exes Berry-Eskridge, Ingrid Berry and Aloha Berry, and son Charles Berry Jr.

The vastly influential singer-songwriter's death rocked the music world, as artists from Keith Urban, to Bruno Mars, to Ringo Starr all took to social media to express their condolences.

Berry had previously announced a new album for 2017, which will be released posthumously.
