Daisy Lowe remained tight-lipped as she avoided questions about her friend Louise Redknapp’s split from her husband and former footballer Jamie.

Lowe swerved the topic when Lorraine Kelly attempted to get her to address the couple’s break-up on her ITV breakfast show.

But the socialite shut down the chat show host, saying she is respecting their request for privacy.

“I love Jamie, I love Louise and I love their kids – they’ve asked for their privacy,” she said.

Lowe – who was on the show to promote her new podcast, Fem – said Louise ‘blossomed’ during their time on Strictly Come Dancing after she rediscovered her confidence.

“All of us rallied round her,” she said. “I was so shocked because she’s so much fun and we really saw that come alive and it was beautiful to see her blossom in that way.”

Louise recently admitted that starring on the BBC ballroom show forced her to revaluate her life and made her realise she couldn’t go back to being a “Stepford wife”.

Speaking to Stella about her marriage to Jamie, she said: “He’s an amazing man and we’ve had 20 good years together. I know he’s trying to understand that I do need to do this.

“People might look at me and think I’ve got everything, but a sweeping staircase and designer handbag doesn’t really do it for me.”

Speaking about the future of their relationship she added: “I have no idea what is going to happen, all I know is that I fought for this, it’s taken everything, but this is something I need to do – for me.”

She revealed she is living apart from Jamie who she has sons Charley, 12, and Beau, nine, with.
