EastEnders star Lacey Turner has married her long-term partner Matt Kay in a surprise ceremony surrounded by their family and BBC1 soap friends.

The actress and her now husband, both 29, met at the age of 15 at a friend's house and have been together ever since - something Lacey sees as "really lucky".

They tied the knot at an exclusive resort in the north of Ibiza, with many of Lacey's 'Enders co-stars there to cheer on the happy couple, including Barbara Windsor, Jake Wood, Laurie Brett, Scott Maslen, Aaron Sidwell and James Bye.

She and Matt met under a floral arch just past 6pm as the sun was starting to set, and Lacey was supported by her four bridesmaids - younger sisters Lily and Daisy, her stepsister Mimie and new sister-in-law Amber - and two little flower girls.

The 120 guests cheered as Lacey and Matt walked back up the aisle before feasting on beef sliders, prawns with lemongrass, roast chicken and pulled pork, washed down with a selection of sangria, cava and beer.

They then danced under the stars until the early hours of the morning - and even Barbara Windsor, aged 80, managed to let her hair down until midnight.

Lacey wore a beautiful champagne-coloured wedding dress with a layered tulle skirt, applique flowers and spaghetti straps. The plunging neckline and back allowed her to wear her long brunette hair in a half-up do and she finished off the gorgeous look with a gauzy veil.

The EastEnders star had wanted a relaxed wedding where guests could mingle and dance without the hoopla of a formal sit-down meal - and she even went barefoot for the whole day.

Afterwards, the newlyweds told OK! magazine that their wedding "felt like an amazing dream".

"We're on cloud nine, it doesn't feel real," they revealed.

"I didn't go to sleep until 5am on our wedding night as I was still so excited about the day and then I woke up at 8am!" said Lacey.

And the actress, who often suffers from anxiety, especially on occasions when she has to appear in public, said there wasn't a single moment where she felt overwhelmed.

"On the day I couldn't wait to get down the aisle and marry Matt," she went on.

"I was like, hurry up, I want to get married! I wasn't nervous walking down the aisle, which was strange as I can't walk down a red carpet without wanting the ground to swallow me up."

Matt's wedding speech paid tribute to his new wife and admitted that he still gets butterflies when he sees her - something Lacey said blew her away.

"It's so special that we met at such a young age," he said afterwards. "It doesn't happen for a lot of people and I feel very lucky to have Lace in my life."

"I just feel really lucky," Lacey added.

"It's really rare to spend this many years with someone and for it to still feel the same as it did in the beginning. The older we grow and the more we learn about each other, the more fun it gets."

The couple are even planning to start their family soon and are talking about wanting three or four children - and Lacey is taking Matt's surname "for everything except work".
