Getty © Getty Getty Holly Willoughby has confessed her three children have started worrying about the impact climate change will have on their lives.

The 39-year-old explained that her kids Harry, 10, daughter Belle, eight, and five-year-old son Chester have started watching a news programme specifically created for "young viewers".

Holly, who was recently voted as one of the celebrities people would love to have as a friend, said: "I've got my three children and they watch something called Newsround, they watch it at school. And they come home and I've noticed more recently that they talk about it a lot.

"I mean we've always been quite environmental in our home as much as we can but they're talking about it in a different way now. The same as what you've seen in the bushfires and actually they do worry about it."

She added: "And actually their questioning has changed, where actually it's become quite fearful. And I'm wondering as a parent actually how do we deal with that? Because it's not just affected adults, it's affecting our children, too."

Climate psychologist Dr Patrick Kennedy-Williams replied that he and others in the field have been regularly contacted by parents with similar worries to her.

He explained: "I'm a parent as well and I'm having to answer really difficult questions about the climate that I may not know the answer to or that I might want to protect my children from."

It comes as Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield, who recently came out as gay, mocked a Loose Women audience member who was seen leaning behind Christine Lampard during a live link between This Morning and the ITV lunchtime show.

The 57-year-old presenter appeared to get distracted by the audience member while he and Holly chatted to Christine, 41, about what was coming up on Loose Women that day.

While Christine was standing behind the audience explaining what viewers could expect on Wednesday’s show, the guest was spotted leaning behind the totally unaware presenter.

And, as he pointed at the guest in question, the TV star quipped: “Loving it, look,” to Holly.

Holly then warned the audience member: “You’re on camera, you’re on camera!” perhaps hinting at them to adjust their position in the shot.

But, Christine, who was unaware of the antics going on behind her, seemed baffled by what was tickling Phillip and Holly.
