Josh Brolin knows exactly how to make an entrance at a party – by bringing his best '80s self, of course.

And we all have his wife Kathryn to thank.

The actor was attending an '80s birthday party thrown for his friend Bill Parris when he needed a costume idea, and why not go as his former self, ie Brand 'Brandon' Walsh from classic 1985 film The Goonies?

That was Kathryn's thinking, anyway, and the results are truly amazing.

Goonies never say die, right?

"'80s themed birthday for my buddy given by his lovely wife," Brolin wrote.

"I didn't know what to dress as (Henry Rollins? Boy George? A gremlin?) then my wife said, 'I got you covered.'"

The actor can be seen kitted out in full '80s gym kit much like his strapping jock alter ego Brand, while also sporting that iconic bandana around his head.

Not that Brand is the only Brolin alter ego that likes to get a little physical.

He's recently been getting his sweat on in a major way in preparation for his upcoming role as Cable in Deadpool 2.

The actor officially joined the movie earlier this year and has been readying himself ever since, even getting his mask fitted.

It's not his only iconic Marvel role either, as he'll also be playing Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

Sorry Goonheads, he's Marvel Brand now.
