Kevin Clifton and Karen Clifton may be in the process of divorce, but they've managed to stay good friends.

The Strictly Come Dancing professionals married in 2015, and announced in 2018 that they had split romantically, but would continue to work together.

'We're really good friends,' Kevin said on Lorraine.

'We've still been dancing together, we did the tour together after that. And we worked together on Strictly.

'We do have a big respect for each other, and we just decided it didn't have to be argumentative or difficult. We just thought, "Let's stay friends, let's work through it as calmly as possible and it's all good". We're all fine.'

He continued: 'You're always going to have love for each other and you just want to look out for each other.'

Kevin, who has been part of Strictly since 2013, recently won his first ever Glitterball Trophy with investigative journalist Stacey Dooley.

Speaking about their win, the 36-year-old added: 'We just didn't expect it. Well, we thought Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell were going to win.

'We were convinced they were going to win because Joe was so good and they were so lovely, we just thought that was that.

'And then we were bottom of the leaderboard in the final. So we didn't think there was any chance. So when Tess called out our names, it was genuine shock. I fell to the floor and I think Stacey's mum invaded the pitch – it was mayhem.'

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 8.30am.
