According to Forbes, within five weeks of its release, the movie has made $304.2 million in North America and $953 million worldwide. The movie had a $62.5 million budget, meaning that it has grossed 15.3x times more than its initial investment. Not bad at all.

Phoenix's Joker has already surpassed big blockbusters like Venom, which earned $854 million with a $90 million budget in 2018, and Batman, which grossed $411 million in 1989 with a $35 million investment.

If it manages to surpass Aquaman's domestic income ($335.1 million), Joker will become DC Comics' fourth-highest earning movie in North America, with Wonder Woman, The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight only at the front.

Joker is in cinemas now.
