'Devastated' Cheryl reportedly can't stop re-watching her panned comeback performance.

The singer copped it on Sunday night, with fans claiming her raunchy X Factor antics - which saw her lick her own hand and crawl suggestively across the stage - were too x-rated for a family show.

Others took aim at her singing, with some accusing her of being out of tune.

"Not sure if it's the sound or she just can't sing, but this sounds bad," sniped one viewer.

"Cheryl licking her hand tattoo is about as appealing as this performance/song," added another.

A third said: "I just don’t understand? Cheryl? Can she even sing? ... bizzaare"

And it's now been claimed that the mother-of-one is absolutely gutted.

“Cheryl’s devastated over the harsh comments... She always says that ‘haters’ come with fame and she expects some negativity, but she didn’t expect this reaction," a source told The Sun .

Revealing that the backlash 'shocked her', the insider said that after reviewing the footage, she's come to the conclusion that people are just determined to be against her.

"At first she was angry – she watched the performance back over ten times and can’t understand what she did wrong," the source added.

"She just feels like some people are always going to be against her and she can’t change their minds.”
