Michelle Dockery has revealed she would like to show off her funny side.

The 32-year-old, who shot to fame playing Lady Mary Crawley in period TV drama Downton Abbey, would also like to sing on screen.

"Comedy is something that I'd really like to do more of, and I'd love at some point to incorporate singing into a role," she told Total Film.

"For me, it's more about who I'd like to work with. I absolutely love Wes Anderson's films. I find them hilarious but moving at the same time."

Michelle - a jazz singer who has sung with her Downton Abbey co-star Elizabeth McGovern's band Sadie And The Hotheads - next stars alongside Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore in action-thriller Non-Stop, which opens in cinemas on February 28.

"I've always loved action films. I feel like there's a Taken vibe to Non-Stop. I'd really liked Jaume Collet-Serra's previous films and the opportunity to work with Liam and Julianne was a no-brainer," she said.

"I really enjoyed doing it, and it just felt really cool, y'know? I'd be up for doing more," she added.
