Kasabian will apparently be closing Glastonbury this year, playing the Pyramid Stage's final slot on the Sunday evening.

The band have been booked to follow Dolly Parton at the festival and will be the last act to play this year, according to the Daily Star.

Guitarist Serge Pizzorno has previously said: "One thing I really want to do before all this ends is to headline Glastonbury as we've always had a really incredible time playing there. Hopefully it'll happen.

"The one thing you need to pull off a good Glastonbury headline show is f***ing good tunes, and we've got enough of them to do that."

Kasabian are currently working on new material and will play a homecoming gig at Victoria Park, Leicester, on June 21, shortly before the festival.

Arcade Fire have already been announced as the headline act for the Friday night at Glastonbury.
