Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac films are to be screened together in UK cinemas.

The two parts of the erotic movie, Volume I and Volume II, will be shown back to back, screened simultaneously in cinemas nationwide on February 22.

The viewing will be followed by on-stage interviews with two of the film's stars, Stellan Skarsgard and Stacy Martin, hosted by Edith Bowman and broadcast live via satellite from the Curzon Chelsea in London.

Cinemas around the country will be invited to take part in the night via social media.

The controversial movie is about a woman's erotic journey through life and also stars Shia LaBeouf and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Meanwhile, Romania's cinema board has lifted its ban on the second part of the film, Nymphomaniac II.

The National Centre of Cinematography viewed the movie for a second time and decided to lift the ban it had imposed earlier this week.

The film will be labeled IM 18 in Romania and shown to adults only.

The distributor, Independence Film, told The Associated Press the movie will be released in Romania on February 7 as scheduled.

"We consider this decision ... a return to normality. There is no censorship," it said in a statement.

The film Nymphomaniac I is already being shown in Romanian cinemas.
