Snoop Dogg goes Pokemon for video

Snoop Dogg has been transformed into a video game character for his new Pokemon-inspired music video.

The rapper - aka Snoop Lion or Snoopzilla - has unveiled the video online for his new track Get Away from his reggae album Reincarnated.

The video - which is mostly red, yellow and green, the colours of the Rastafari flag - sees a tiny Snoop walking through a town that looks like an old-school Nintendo GameBoy game and bears a striking resemblance to the Pokemon world.

Snoop comes across a character named Major Lazer - the DJ and artist who produced Snoop's album - who challenges him to battle using creatures that also look like Pokemon.

The two take to hoverboards and begin shooting other spacecraft that appear on screen.

The video's artwork was created by animator Mykola Dosenko.
