BBC's Bodyguard has given its fans some major ups and down over the last four episodes - with the most recent show completely shocking viewers as Julia Montague was killed.

A bomb went off while she delivered a speech at St Matthews' College on her controversial RIPA-18 Bill, all about surveillance and safety.

While the main suspect has been her aide Tahir Mahmood, who had his suspicious briefcase searched just minutes before the bomb exploded and left Julia, as well as a room full of guests, in grave danger.

But fans spotted someone else lurking in the shadows who they think may be the one who is responsible for Julia's sad demise: her former aide Chanel Dyson.

Disgruntled Chanel was seen screaming the house down in the first episode, and David Budd was forced to remove her from the Home Secretary's office after she was sacked.

Chanel then tried to sell her story to a journalist, telling her all the ways she felt abused and hurt by Julia, but the journo was not interested until there was something concrete, leaving Chanel to go home without a story. a man wearing a suit and tie © Credits: BBC Fans pointed out that, after being sacked, she was driven off in a Range Rover by a man who later appeared at a Veteran's Peace Group, which was run by David's friend Andy who tried to assassinate Julia in the second episode.

The same car picked her up after her awkward meeting with a journalist, meaning she could be in cahoots with the group who have been plotting Julia's death for months.

On IMDb, Chanel is listed as being in the whole series of the show, despite having supposedly been on screen in only the first episode, leading many to believe she may have been at the speech in disguise.

Another wrote: "My plot theory for #Bodyguard sacked aide, Chanel, is MI5 agent and also Vickys new partner, Then something about a ministerial coup, and a set up. Yadda, yadda, yadda..."

A third added: "Chanel in the Range Rover is 100% behind Julia's death in #Bodyguard hell hath no fury like a minor Tory PAD schorned."

Another didn't quite think Chanel was the one, but perhaps she was in on a big conspiracy: "The mastermind will be Vicky mystery new man who is also the man who drove Chanel away in ep1. He would have access to the keys to David's flat from Vicky's handbag like David did.

"He also has motive as he was at the meeting with the Thornton Circus shooter #Bodyguard Boooom."
