News broadcaster Kate Silverton is the latest star to reportedly sign up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing . 

Kate, 48, is a familiar face on BBC News at On, Six and Ten.

Bosses have been trying to get the mum-of-two on the show for years, according to The Sun. 

Kate will be joining the likes of Pussycat Doll star Ashley Roberts, Steps star Faye Tozer, Blue's Lee Ryan and YouTube personality Zoella's brother Joe Sugg.

The 38-year-old doctor rose to fame on CBeebies and was branded “the modest hero” by ITV after parents revealed his onscreen advice had saved the lives of many children.

It's been rumoured that the likes of Cheryl Tweedy, Olympic diver Tom Daley and baking star Nadiya Hussein might also be taking part in this year's show.

Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman revealed they have been told the entire lineup this week, with Tess revealing that the new names would be officially announced from August 13th.

Last year’s new head judge Shirley Ballas returns alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tolioni when the show comes back this autumn.

But there will be three new dancers joining the line-up - Johannes Radebe, Luba Mushtuk and Graziano Di Prima.

The show's launch episode, which will see the professional partners and celebrities paired up, is set to be filmed on August 31, which will then be broadcast a little later in the year.
