Why pay for PERinaise when you can make your own by mixing free mayonnaise with any of your favourite Nando's spices?

2. Order the PERi-tamer

You might not know, but there are more than six spice flavour options on the Nando's menu - because BBQ sauce Peri-tamer exists in the kids' section, AND IT'S GOOD.

3. Order the PERi-flamer

Or, go one step further and go for the PERi-Flamer spice. It's not on the menu but the staff will know what you mean. It's PERi-tamer with a grown up spicy kick.

4.Make cheesy mash

You can add a piece of cheddar to your chicken on the menu, but why not go one better and make a cheesy version of creamy Nando's mash, too?

5. Make a Fantoke

England footballer Dele Alli once tweeted that "Nandos isn't a nandos without fanta and coke mixed #fantoke [sic]", and the idea quickly took off. Order a refillable fizzy drink, mix half a Fanta with half a Coca Cola and you, ladies and gents, have yourself a Fantoke.

6. Add sauce to your sides

Don't just save the sauces for your main dish: give a splash all over your sides for even more flavour - like Mango & Lime on corn on the cob, for example.

As in, actual hot cooked breakfast., including the Nando's Benedict (Chicken with two poached eggs and wilted spinach topped with PERi-hollandaise), Nando's beans & eggs on toast and 'corny browns'. Only downside? It's only available at Gatwick airport.

8. Replace your bun with garlic bread

JME coined it last year, and we've never been so on board with anything in our lives.

9. Try the #MERKY burger

STORMZY originated the idea by putting Halloumi cheese between a garlic and chilli Portuguese roll, originating the #MERKY burger.

10. Order a large fries rather than two regulars

You get about the same amount of fries in one large portion than two regulars - and it's cheaper, too.

11. Get the bottled sauces at home

If PERi-sauce in instant noodles or on cheese on toast doesn't sound up your street, you probably need to reassess your life choices (soz but C'MON).

12. Make your own rice and peas.

What's better than ordering two sides? Combining the two to make a MEGA side, duh. Order the spicy rice and macho peas, and create the ultimate side dish by mixing them together on your plate.

Race you to Nando's.
