The best restaurants doing takeaway near London parks

It seems like there might just be light at the end of the lockdown tunnel – and it looks an awful lot like a sun-soaked picnic in your local park.

As the country cautiously gets back to enjoying itself (responsibly, we hope), new regulations allowing us to have a sit-down in a green space have got us all a little excited. This sort of occasion calls for a feast, one ideally supplied by one of the nearby restaurateurs offering takeaway food and drink.

Below, we've rounded up restaurants that are both offering takeaway for collection and located within a 10 minute (half a mile) walk from an entrance to one of London's parks. If you want to enjoy a beer alongside your food, check out our guide to the London pubs serving takeaway pints. Bear in mind that many of the below restaurants will only take pre-orders for collection at the moment, rather than offering in-store ordering.

We have highlighted the ones for which this is a hard-and-fast rule right now but – with restaurants often needing to change their services at short notice at the moment – it’s always best to call ahead and check to avoid disappointment.

If you’re going to have a park picnic, please remember to follow the government’s current social distancing guidelines – hang out only with members of your household or just one other person, and keep the visiting friend at a two-metre distance.

Whether its 22-inch pizzas, a picnic made up of the finest Italian snacks, a kebab or even Michelin-starred dumplings that you're after, here's our guide on where to find a bite to eat close to a welcome green oasis.
