In a national survey, nearly 55% of students between the ages of 18 and 22 said they had drunk alcohol in the past month, while more than 33% admitted to binge drinking. As a result, each year thousands of college students wind up in the emergency with alcohol poisoning, and roughly 1,825 students between the ages of 18 and 24 die each year in the U.S. due to alcohol-related injuries.
