Preference for certain specialty foods 'is in our genes'

Fish, chilli, and cheese are among the most divisive foods. Some people love anchovies, while others can't handle even the slightest bit of spice in their meals. And to investigate why some people love certain foods and turn their noses up at others researchers from the University of Edinburgh and Human Technopole in Milan recently studied more than 150,000 individuals' fondness for 137 different foods and beverages.
