Michelin star winners for UK and Ireland revealed
The Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland revealed its highly-anticipated star ratings today. The list included restaurants that have earned, maintained, or lost their coveted star ratings. For the year 2023, there were no new additions to the exclusive three-star club, keeping the number of three-starred restaurants at a mere eight in Great Britain and Ireland. However, the guide did recognise 20 establishments with their first star, bringing the total number of starred restaurants to 188. Additionally, three restaurants received a second star, highlighting their culinary excellence. Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, and The Fat Duck owned by Heston Blumenthal were amongst the winners of the coveted three star rating. The Michelin star is widely considered the most prestigious accolade in the food industry and is highly coveted by chefs and restaurateurs.
