Tom Daley and husband Dustin Lance Black have shared a baby scan picture to mark Valentine's Day hinting they are to become dads in the near future.

The married pair both shared similar touching photos on Instagram, with the message: "A very happy #ValentinesDay from ours to yours."

Tom, 23, and Lance, 43, got married in May last year after getting engaged in October 2015.

And fans have rushed to Twitter to congratulate the soon-to-be dads.

"Massive congratulations to you both, you will be the best parents ever," one fan tweeted.

"Amazing news. Congratulations both! You will make a fantastic family," another added.

Last year Tom told the Mirror he wants an "army of kids".

“We’re not planning to have children immediately, but we do want them in the future," he said in October last year.

“I’ve always been a family person so I’ve always wanted kids, and I know Lance does, too. I don’t know how many – an army of kids, a whole diving team. We’re both lucky to have supportive families and we want to share that with our own children."

The happy couple first met at an industry event, where Tom made the first move by typing his mobile phone number into Oscar-winning Lance's phone along with a message to call him.

And marriage talk came quickly.

"Quite honestly, we talked about marriage within the first two weeks after seeing each other the first time in LA," Olympic diver Tom told OUT magazine in 2016.

Lance added: "We were so busy making all these plans - we both wanted to have children; we both wanted to build a home of our own someday. I draw, so I was sketching little plans for houses on cliffs overlooking oceans, while Tom watched over my shoulder - it was a very grown-up version of playing house.

"Marriage is the foundation to all of these other big plans we have. So we knew we were going to get engaged—it was just a matter of when, and who does it."

They got married in May 2017 at the stunning Bovey Castle.

Just hours before the pair exchanged vows, Tom reportedly imitated Juliet from the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet as he called out "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" from a balcony.

And following the ceremony, there was a wedding breakfast served in the Great Western Restaurant which included beef wellington, sausage and mash, and Eton mess.

The wedding cake was even made by Tom himself - a multi-tiered psychedelic creation.

A string quartet played as first Tom and then Lance made their entrances, accompanied by flower girls.

There were several speeches, including those from Tom and Lance and Tom’s mum Debbie.

And they included many tributes to Tom’s dad Rob, who tragically died of a brain tumour in 2011.

After exchanging their vows, members of the London Gay Men’s Choir sang the Bruno Mars song Marry You.

A local source told the Plymouth Herald: “It was a beautiful ceremony, their vows were so brilliant and heartfelt.

“Tom and Lance organised the wedding themselves and it had their personalities stamped on every detail.”

The evening finished with a fireworks display at 10pm.

In a revealing interview last year, Tom opened up about the struggles he's faced in his marriage.

The Olympian admitted his marriage is "far from perfect" as he bared all alongside his husband, as they spoke on the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in the UK.

Speaking to Attitude Magazine on its podcast, Tom said: "Our relationship is far from perfect. We have really tough times and struggles.

"For example we went long distance for a very, very, long time: he was in LA, I was living in London. We would spend sometimes five weeks apart.

"And it's something that was really, really tough and we've had to make massive and dramatic changes in our lives in order to be able to live together and see each other all the time. So it's not all plain sailing."

During the revealing chat, the star sportsman also spoke about the first time he met his future-husband back in 2013, saying he had to be careful in directly his affections as he'd not yet come out publicly as gay.

He said: "I kept getting caught looking at him because obviously I wasn't really out then.

"And I didn't really expect to have this moment that I did with Lance, but the way that I got around it was talking about the goings on inside the Olympic Village and how it would make a pretty cool film.

"...we traded contact details at the end of the night. I put my number in his phone with the winky face."

Tom became one of Britain’s most high-profile gay sportsmen after he posted a video addressing his relationship with his now-husband in December 2013.
