We all love Kate Middleton for the intelligent and beautiful future-Queen that she is and it's not hard to see why Prince William fell for her.

But it seems at University, the Duchess' friends thought she had a lot of attention to fight off from other women who were interested in her man.

It's true that Prince William had a lot of attention from the girls when he was growing up and when one Kate's pals told her how lucky she was, she had this sassy response.

"He's lucky to have me," Kate said according to RSVP Live .

And ain't that the truth.

Despite a brief split, William went on to propose in 2010, to which Charles famously commented: "They have been practising long enough."

The couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 and went on to have three children together.

William and Kate's nicknames for each other were revealed earlier this year and they're pretty brutal.

Kate for example, labels her future-king husband "baldy", which is a lot more tame than the more risqué "Big Willy" she reportedly used when they were first dating.

And Prince William likes to refer to his wife as "DoD", which is short for "Duchess of Dolittle".

According to a Sun Online source, the heir to the throne "complained about her endless mane of hair [so 'baldy'] has been her sharp retort."
