Celebrity brands and endorsements gone wrong

StarsInsider Logo By Stars Insider of StarsInsider | Slide 1 of 39: Whether it was their own failed brand or business, a questionable spot appearance, or their own outrageous behavior that lost them endorsements, many celebrities have seen their lucrative business dealings fall through, and others have seen backlash for throwing their star power behind questionable companies. Makeup mogul Kylie Jenner has recently come under fire for the hygiene practices at Kylie Cosmetics. On August 4, Emmy-winning makeup artist Kevin James Bennett called her out after she posted photos of herself visiting the Kylie Cosmetics laboratory to see some of her products being made. Bennett slammed her photo-op, saying "I'm a cosmetic developer and work with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs) as part of my job. I have very short hair, and I've NEVER been allowed into the lab or onto the manufacturing floor without a hair net, shoe covers, mask...and disposable GLOVES." He accused Jenner of trying to give her fans the false impression that she's involved in the development of her products, and said "I'd like to know what ignorant manufacturer (in Italy) let her stage this photo-op in their lab and on the manufacturing floor - without following proper sanitation protocols." Jenner responded to his comments saying that she was in a private laboratory space creating her own samples for fun, and was nowhere near the real manufacturing area where products were being made for customers. She returned fire, accusing Bennett of distorting the facts: "no one is putting customers at risk ! shame on you kevin for spreading false information !!!!"Click through the gallery to see some other celebrities who had brands and endorsements go off the rails! Follow us and access great exclusive content everyday
