Jeff Goldblum

The man has become a fashion legend this year. During his '90s blockbuster reign the actor was never one to leave a memorable impression for his sartorial efforts, but 2018 has been a whole different story.

The 66-year-old has became a menswear fashion icon, hitting headlines for his sharp red carpet outfits and quirky off-duty looks.

From wearing a full-on sequin suit to his Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling (because, what else?) to being a trendsetter in Prada's autumn/winter 2018 bowling shirts, we bow down at the alter of Goldblum.

This man has no fear when it comes to fashion, and we love him for it.

Jane Fonda

There's not a hint of granny chic in Jane Fonda's wardrobe. From statement suits to leopard print, the 80-year-old actress's red carpet credentials have really come alive this year, thanks to a touch of old Hollywood glamour.

During Cannes Film Festival she impressed fashion commentators with two dreamy couture dresses: a caped creation by Valentino and an exquisite Givenchy beaded black ballgown. But her most memorable ensemble has to be the head-turning custom made Balmain dress that made everyone's jaw drop at the Academy Awards. Impeccable.

Jonah Hill

To everyone's surprise Jonah Hill has become a major hypebeast and, consequently, is now a streetwear star for many on the 'gram. Yes, really.

From giving Harry Styles a run for his money in the jazzy shirt department, to wearing bucket hats, double denim and sleek suits. There's now even an Instagram account dedicated to his get-ups with over 10k followers.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis has always been cool, dating way back to her Freaky Friday days.

But, it's fair to say that the 59-year-old has really found her fashion groove this year. The press tour for her latest flick Halloween saw her don a striking red suit by Alexander McQueen, a beautiful blue velvet number by Altuzarra and a classic Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit.

Basically, she's totally owned androgynous style this year.

Gareth Southgate

No one saw this coming but England manager Gareth Southgate is a style icon.

Propelled into the style spotlight during the World Cup, he started an entire menswear trend, thanks to his penchant for waistcoats.

So powerful was his sartorial influence over the summer that Marks & Spencer said “The Southgate Effect” led to a 35 per cent increase in waistcoat sales. His below top five looks are all the same, but they're iconic nonetheless.

Whoopi Goldberg

To the 90th Academy Awards the 63-year-old shut down the red carpet in an elegant billowing floral gown by Siriano. Meanwhile, the CFDA Fashion Awards saw her don a chic hot pink two-piece, along with a matching wide brim hat.

Elton John

Elton is currently in the middle of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour for which he is pulling out all the sartorial stops.

The singer has teamed up with Gucci for his swansong, meaning that Elton's dazzling jazzy jackets and statement specs have never been more on-point. He even wore rose tinted glasses (again by Gucci) to Meghan and Harry's royal wedding. For that, we applaud him.

Emma Thompson

The much-loved British actress ditched royal protocol to accept her Damehood at Buckingham Palace, suiting up for the occasion in Stella McCartney and a pair of Stan Smith trainers. That wasn't her only rule-breaking, and royally trendy, outfit of the year though.

The Love Actually star is a pro when it comes to working the sleek suit and sneaker look. Don't believe us? Have a scroll through her top five looks.
