The £15 Primark dress causing mass hysteria

It seems Primark isn't just content with throwing the world into a melt-down over a mug, now they want to cause mass hysteria over a dress, too.

The brand who saw Beauty and the Beast Chip mugs fly off their shelves faster than you could say 'Disney' is now enjoying a similar success with one of its key summer style pieces.

According to The Mirror, a blue gingham dress by the brand has been so popular, shoppers were ready to snap it up as soon as it was released.

The dress in question plays on two of summers biggest fashion trends: playful, fluted sleeves and gingham print - and when you can nail the trends for just £15, it's no surprise the dress hasn't lasted long on the shelves.

In fact, according to The Liverpool Echo, you would be lucky to see one of these items still in store after it was featured in several women's magazines and cleverly pre-ordered by lots of savvy shoppers.

Ebay to the rescue though, where the dress is currently being sold for around double the original price for those who really can't risk being disappointed in-store.

If Primark treats the dress like the Chip mug saga, here's hoping they'll be re-stocking their stores soon.
