Chairman Bob Chapek delivered at the D23 Expo in Japan, where he revealed more about what the land will entail - including when it will open to the public.

The good news is that the Disney-obsessed won't have to wait long, as Pixar Pier opens on 23rd June, in time for the summer season.

But there's more excitement for fans, as Pixar Pier will be divided into four neighbourhoods, for a full celebration of all things Disney/Pixar.

Expect themed attractions and entertainment, encounters with your favourite characters, and even a host of themed food and merchandise.

The first land will be inspired by The Incredibles, set to be home to the thrilling Incredicoaster which will pay tribute to new film The Incredibles 2, which lands in cinemas in June. Disney promises "new character moments, scenes, special effects and an exciting musical score".

(Not to be confused with the Toy Story Land opening in Disney's Hollywood Studios ).

Guests can then make their way into the third installment of the Pixar haven, this time being taken into the world of Inside Out.

Disney has kept details fairly under wraps around what will this neighbourhood will include, although they have revealed that there'll be a themed attraction opening at a later date.

Last but not least, the fourth neighbourhood will offer a celebration of a collection of Pixar Stories from A Bug's Life to La Luna and WALL-E.

That's not all that's on offer for Pixar fans. What was formerly Ariel’s Grotto restaurant and the Cove Bar will be transformed into a Pixar-themed lounge, offering sparkling views of Paradise Bay and the new Pixar Pier.

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone will showcase their superhero awesomeness as they take on their newest threat, the Underminer.

Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack will also get to showcase their unique powers which Disney says will be showcased "through dynamic and innovative visual technology".
