Finding a reasonably priced home is hard to come by these days with house prices continuing to climb. In Greater Manchester, the average cost of a home was recorded at £236,876 in July, which is up by 17% from the peak of £203,277 back in 2019.

If you are looking to buy a home but are being put off by the soaring prices in the region - don't lose all hope just yet. There are some cheap properties to be found in the more affordable areas of Greater Manchester, with homes in the boroughs of Bolton, Rochdale and Wigan ranging from just £20,000 to £70,000.

Here we have listed a bunch of bargain homes currently for sale on Rightmove that are set to go to auction this August and September. Going for much cheaper prices than on the traditional market, these properties each require a bit of TLC but they would make ideal purchases for first-time buyers or investors to renovate and make their own.
