Four-fifths of UK butterflies in decline, report says
Around 80% of UK butterfly species have declined since the 1970s, according to a new report. Scientists at the wildlife charity Butterfly Conservation, who released the State of UK Butterflies 2022 Report, said the decline of the colourfully-patterned insects is indicative of the wider biodiversity crisis.
