Microsoft has revealed the most powerful console in the world, the Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X, which was code named Xbox Project Scorpio, is a true 4K gaming console. More powerful than the Xbox One S, the Xbox One X not only packs an Ultra HD 4K Blu-Ray player, but also has the supercharged hardware to play games in native 4K too.

Courtesy of T3: T3 image © Courtesy of T3 T3 image The Xbox One X comes packing 6 teraflops of computing power, 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM, and has a GPU engine that runs at 1172MHz. Xbox One X has been designed to play games at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

Despite packing such intense power, the Xbox One X is also the smallest Xbox ever made, and it also features a liquid cooling system.

Microsoft has also revealed that all Xbox One accessories will work on the Xbox One X, alongside all Xbox 360 compatible titles and Xbox One games, and even makes games look better on non-4K TVs thanks to "super sampling" technology.

<p>Microsoft's new Xbox One X is due to start shipping in November, the <a href="">company announced on Sunday</a>.</p><p> It looks very similar to the Xbox One S (Microsoft's previous console) but it is noticeably smaller.</p><p> The machine has a six teraflops graphics processor, making it considerably more powerful than the current models of Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the new, more powerful PlayStation 4 Pro.</p><p> The Xbox One X's new graphics processor means the console can support 4K, allowing gamers to enjoy sharper, clearer, and more colourful graphics than HD.</p><p> The games console will cost $500 (£393) when it goes on sale on November 7 but official UK pricing is yet to be revealed.</p><p> Microsoft <a href="">released a montage</a> of video games that Xbox One owners will be able to play in 4K on the Xbox YouTube channel on Sunday. Most of the big name games are there, but we've added in a couple of others that didn't feature.
