The Elizabeth Tower, which houses the main bell called the Big Ben, has become one of the most prominent landmarks of the city. Located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, the tower was designed by Augustus Pugin in Gothic Revival style and houses the world's second largest four-faced chiming clock, with the faces having a diameter of 23 feet (seven meters).
