Tributes flooded in for the family yesterday, with Margaret Pritchard writing: “RIP, little one.”

A schoolfriend said Anna, who is in her 20s, attended Ysgol Ardudwy, Harlech, and later studied art at Coleg Menai before attending Liverpool John Moores University.

She worked for a time at Spooner’s Bar and Grill at the Ffestiniog Railway station in Porthmadog.

A message on its Facebook page said it would be closed yesterday because of a bereavement.

A Ffestiniog Railway spokesman said: “She was a much-loved member of the team. Our thoughts are with her family at this time, and she’ll be missed greatly.”

The Ford Fiesta collided with a lorry on the A487, near Gellilydan, Gwynedd on Thursday, North Wales Police has confirmed.

Williams from Penrhyndeudraeth and baby Millie Wyn Ginnever from Blaenau Ffestiniog were pronounced dead shortly after the crash, which happened at around 11:20am yesterday morning.

Specialist officers are currently working to support the families who have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

Councillor Gareth Thomas, who represents Penrhyndeudraeth on Gwynedd council, said the community is reeling after the tragedy.

“She (Anna) is from a close knit, popular and respected Penrhyn family and everyone in the village is shocked by what has happened. The deaths of a young woman and a baby is tragic,” he said.

“I am sure the community will rally round and support the family in the difficult days ahead as they try to come to terms with what has happened.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses and anybody with information is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number
