Are there other universes like ours?

Until recently, popular scientific theory held that the universes around us all had very different laws of physics, that they were constantly expanding and were possibly infinite in number. But shortly before he died, world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking and his colleague Thomas Hertog came to a somewhat different conclusion. They believe that our universe may not be so different to the ones around it after all. Thomas Hertog explains in more detail.
