PM pledges to raise threshold of NI contributions

Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledges to lift more than two million low-paid workers out of National Insurance as part of the Conservative Party's manifesto. Mr Johnson committed to raise the threshold at which workers start paying National Insurance from £8,628 a year to £9,500, and eventually £12,500.
