Two boys ran into a neighbour's burning house to rescue two young children, firefighters in Florida have said.

Isaiah Francis, aged 10, and Jeremiah Grimes, 11, were playing video games when they smelled smoke and noticed that the mobile home next door was ablaze.

They ran into the burning building and rescued an eight-month-old baby and a one-year-old infant - even though they could barely see through the thick smoke inside.

Two other children who were also inside the mobile home, aged two and five, were rescued by firefighters soon afterwards and are now in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

Isaiah told Fox35 News: "(The fire) was really close to the babies, because it started by the couch. I was scared, but got through my fear and went into the fire."

The cause of the blaze in Orange County is yet to be determined.
