Gennady Golovkin insists his super fight with Saul 'Canelo' AlvarezĀ is "50-50" and could develop into a shoot-out.

The two best middleweights in the world will battle for pound-for-pound supremacy on September 16 in Las Vegas.

And the Kazakh fighter has pointed to the power both fighters possess and believes the winner will be whoever lands first.

"Everybody knows we have power and huge boxing IQ, I think it's 50-50, who lands first," Golovkin said at a London press conference.

"Right now is the best time for us, for the fans, for everyone. Everyone wants this fight."

Alvarez appeared to hint at a brawl and insisted he is ready to dig deep in pursuit of a knockout.

"We know how dangerous Golovkin is," said the Mexican.

"We're going to prepare well, like always, and we're going to look for the knock out.

"This is going to be a very tough fight. There are tough fights and there are difficult fights.

"This is tough. I'll be 100 percent ready for it. There's a lot of probability that it will end in a knockout."
