The big games just keep coming for Celtic as they prepare for a really tricky test away to Real Betis.

Having made it to the Europa League group stage the Parkhead club were rewarded with a trip to Andalusia and a team packed with talent like Nabil Fekir and the evergreen winger Joaquin.

Last season saw the then Scottish champions embarrassed on the European stage, and new manager Ange Postecoglou will be determined to set things right.

He put his players through their paces on the Parkhead pitch before the squad flew to Seville and here are five things we spotted at Celtic's final training session before flying out to Spain.

Bromance blooming?

Other than their football team and playing full-back, it would seem on the surface that Adam Montgomery and Josip Juranovic don't have much in common.

The new signing is a 26-year-old full international who is in his second spell outside his home country after leaving Croatia for Legia Warsaw.

But it seems it's the 19-year-old Montgomery with only a handful of senior appearances to his name who is helping Juranovic to settle in.

The youngster was seen putting a friendly arm around his new team-mate as the pair shared a joke and a laugh.

Mikey Johnston back in contention

Having suffered an injury in Wales during Celtic's pre-season training camp, Mikey Johnston is yet to feature in a competitive match for Ange Postecoglou.

The winger was back and running well though ahead of the trip to Spain, bringing a much needed boost to a squad reeling from the absence of Kyogo Furuhashi and Karamoko Dembele.

Thursday night may well come too soon for Johnston but fans will be delighted to see him back involved.

Abada present but not playing

Liel Abada was put through his paces on the Celtic Park turf but the youngster won't feature on Thursday night.

The 19-year-old is Jewish and will take the night off for the high holiday of Yom Kippur.

The holiest day of the year in Judaism, observing it means an all day fast and, traditionally, day-long prayer.

With his fast not beginning until Thursday though Abada was present and correct with the rest of his team-mates.

Bolingoli spotted

We've not seen Boli Bolingoli on the pitch for Celtic since he came on against Kilmarnock at the beginning of last season having flown to Spain without informing the club or health authorities.

The left-back was shipped out on loan to Istanbul Basaksehir, then a season-ending knee injury held him back further.

As he continues his recovery the Belgian has yet to play this season, but there was a rare sighting of him on the Parkhead pitch on Wednesday - albeit in training gear.

Laughs all around

There was a notably relaxed atmosphere among both players and staff, with Ange Postecoglou and John Kennedy sharing a joke.

And it seems among the new signings the dressing room banter is already flying.

Juranovic and Liam Scales were observed having quite the animated discussion, with the Irishman and Anthony Ralston both clearly cracking up.

If the prospect of facing one of Spain's top sides in Andalusia is a daunting one for the Celtic players it didn't show in their final session before flying out.
