Anthony Martial has reportedly rejected two Premier League clubs in favour of staying at Manchester United this month.

Tensions between the Frenchman and Ralf Rangnick came to a head on Saturday as the interim boss claimed that the forward refused to join the matchday squad for the trip to the West Midlands. Martial later went onto Instagram to refute these claims.

The 26-year-old has now apparently turned down Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, according to Fabrizio Romano via Sport Bible.

It is believed that Martial's preferred destination is Spain and Sevilla.

Elsewhere, it is thought that Hannibal Mejbri has been the subject of loan enquiries by a number of Championship clubs this season.

Goal report that Reading are in the chasing pack but that United have turned down offers.

It's claimed that United director duo John Murtough and Darren Fletcher agreed that Mejbri would benefit from playing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football for Tunisia. Hannibal is currently in Cameroon for the tournament.

Meanwhile the Mirror reports that Newcastle are set to rival United for the services of Amadou Haidara.

The midfielder at RB Leipzig is believed to have impressed Rangnick and they claim that the German has agreed in principle a £33m deal for the Malian international.

However, the Magpies are thought to be ready to swoop in and steal the 23-year-old right under the nose of United.
