Former Tottenham and Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has backed Liverpool to come out victorious this weekend.

As reported by the London Evening Standard, the striker does not believe his former side will have enough in their ranks to outdo the Reds at Wembley.

“Liverpool have got off to a great start, winning every game and playing good football. The team looks very balanced and it’s going to be very tough for Tottenham, despite home advantage.”

He went on to add:

“I expect both teams to score as they usually do in this fixture, but I’ll have to edge towards Liverpool to win it.”

The two sides meet in Saturday’s early kick-off in what many people are tipping to be Liverpool’s first serious test of the season.

The Reds have won four from four so far this season, but have yet to come up against a team that has seriously challenged them.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be among the teams rivalling the Reds for a place in the top four at the end of the season.

Spurs will be hoping for a positive result to close the gap between themselves and the Reds, after winning three of their opening four games this season.
