Real Madrid ready to include James Rodriguez in deal for Christian Eriksen
The chances of James Rodriguez making a permanent move to Bayern Munich have seemingly decreased as has been reported by AS that Real Madrid are ready to include the Colombian star in a player-plus-cash deal for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.
According to Agustín Martin, Madrid are keen to sign the Danish star from Spurs and want to use Rodriguez to help lower the cost for their top target.
Rodriguez is currently on loan at Bayern but he’s failed to make a huge impact since Niko Kovac took over the club in the summer, despite a positive first year in Germany.
Bayern have the option to sign the 27-year-old for €42million in the summer but it is looking like they’ve decided not to purchase him, and as such, he’ll return to Madrid.
Rodriguez’s season has been severely disrupted due to ankle and a knee injuries, but Madrid will hope that including him in potential deal will make it easier to take Eriksen from Spurs.
